We are not able to list all available options for every student. If you are interested in a class that is not suggested below, please see us at registration.

Ballet courses that have two time slots, (e.g. ballet P1/P2) must be taken together as a pair. If you are given the option of two sets of letters (e.g. J1/J2 & K1/K2) you can pick either set of classes (e.g. J1/J2 OR K1/K2).

Thank you for registering for dance classes. To confirm registration, please complete the following:

1. Write your advanced registration cheque – due 15 July
2. Write all postdated cheques - due September 8th
3. Print this tuition payment summary and attach it to your cheques. If you do not have a printer, place your cheque in a named envelope with both the family and student’s names written clearly
4. Mail or drop off your cheques to the studio lobby mailbox

We accept postdated cheques or cash payment only. Please make cheques out to D.I.D.

Advanced registration will only be accepted until July 15th.

To hold your spot in a class you need to pay a $25 advanced registration deposit per class (e.g. 2 ballet + one jazz = $75). This deposit is applied as a credit towards next year’s fees. This fee is non-refundable and non transferable.

Please note that courses and faculty are subject to change. We do our best to keep to the schedule as it is for advanced registration. If a course does change and you are no longer able to attend that timeslot we will refund your deposit.

You must read and agree to the Waiver of Claim and Release of Liability terms before you may register with Deas Island Dance Centre (DIDC) and your student may participate in DIDC activities.

Deas Island Dance Centre Ltd - RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS, INDEMNITY

Please Print and Read This – Be aware that any physical activity involving minors entails risk and Deas Island Dance Centre Ltd. (“DIDC”) activities carry inherent risks to the student who participates. As the parent and legal guardian of the proposed DIDC student(s), I hereby affirm that I am at least 19-years old, have exclusive legal responsibility for the particular student(s) whom I intent to register with DIDC. I agree that, on behalf of my DIDC student(s), as a condition of my student(s) participating in any DIDC activity and all use of the DIDC facilities or any facilities and premises under the control and supervision of DIDC at any time in any place:I UNDERSTAND THAT NEGLIGENCE INCLUDES FAILURE ON THE PART OF DEAS ISLAND DANCE CENTRE LTD. OR ITS STAFF TO TAKE REASONABLE STEPS TO SAFEGUARD OR PROTECT ME AND MY STUDENT FROM THE RISKS, DANGERS AND HAZARDS OF THE ACTIVITIES NO MATTER WHERE SUCH ACTIVITIES MAY OCCUR. I KNOW THAT PARTICIPATION IN SUCH ACTIVITIES AND USE OF FACILITIES INVOLVES INCREASED RISK OF INJURY.

I DECLARE THAT I FULLY KNOW AND APPRECIATE ALL POTENTIAL RISKS, DANGERS AND HAZARDS ASSOCIATED WITH DEAS ISLAND DANCE CENTRE LTD. ACTIVITIES AND I FREELY ACCEPT AND FULLY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, DANGERS AND HAZARDS AND THE POSSIBILITY OF PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE AND LOSS RESULTING THEREFROM ON BEHALF OF ME AND ANY MINOR FOR WHOM I MAY BE RESPONSIBLE IN CAPACITY INCLUDING AS A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN.

In consideration of Deas Island Dance Centre Ltd. accepting my student’s application to participate in DIDC activities, and permitting my student(s) to use DIDC facilities wherever located at any time permitted, I hereby agree as follows:

1. TO WAIVE ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, that I have or may in the future have against Deas Island Dance Centre Ltd. and its directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, volunteers, sponsors, successors and assigns (jointly the “RELEASEES”), and TO RELEASE THE RELEASEES from any and all liability for any loss, damage, expense or injury including death that I or my student(s) may suffer, or that my next of kin may suffer resulting from either I or my student(s) use of or presence on the DIDC facilities or travel beyond the DIDC facilities, DUE TO ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER, whether arising directly or indirectly, INCLUDING ANY CAUSE OF ACTION IN TORT INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE, AND GROSS NEGLIGENCE AS PERMITTED UNDER LAW, BREACH OF CONTRACT, OR BREACH OF ANY STATUTORY OR OTHER DUTY OF CARE, INCLUDING ANY DUTY OF CARE UNDER THE OCCUPIERS LIABILITY ACT, R.S.B.C. 1996, c.337 as amended, ON THE PART OF THE RELEASEES TO ANY EXTENT. I UNDERSTAND THAT NEGLIGENCE INCLUDES FAILURE ON THE PART OF THE RELEASEES TO TAKE REASONABLE STEPS TO SAFEGUARD OR PROTECT ME AND THOSE FOR WHOM I MAY BE RESPONSIBLE AND LIABLE FROM THE RISKS, DANGERS AND HAZARDS OF THE ACTIVITIES REFERRED TO ABOVE;

2. TO HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFY THE RELEASEES from any and all liability for any damage to property of or personal injury to any third party, resulting from my use of or presence on the facilities or travel beyond the DIDC facilities;

3. This Agreement shall be effective and binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, assigns and representatives, in the event of my death or incapacity; this Agreement and any rights, duties and obligations as between the parties to this Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted solely in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and no other jurisdiction; and

4. Any litigation involving the parties to this Agreement shall be brought solely within British Columbia, to which I attorn, and shall be within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of British Columbia.

5. In entering into this Agreement I am not relying upon any oral or written representations or statements made by the Releasees with respect to the safety of the activities other than what is set forth in this Agreement and this Agreement shall remain in force indefinitely upon consent and agreement.

By clicking on the “I Agree” button on the DIDC website and entering your name into the required data field, you have acknowledged that you have fully read all of the above information, had ample time to make any enquiry that you may need, and voluntarily and knowingly agreed to all the terms herein and including the DIDC waiver of liability of the Releasees as a pre-condition to participate in any DIDC activity anywhere at any time. If you choose not to spend a moment to read this waiver and release, you must and will be bound to bear all the risk and absolute indemnity nonetheless.
